The most extreme mobiles
One thing is clear with RedMagic: they are designed by and for gamers. All the technical features are designed to enhance the gaming experience, nothing more, and that’s what makes them so shocking compared to other high end mobiles.
How could it be otherwise, they are based on the latest Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and hence both top the list of the most powerful mobiles in the market. Moreover, they are the first gaming mobiles on the market to mount this chipalthough we expect many more in the future.
To take advantage of the power of the Qualcomm processor, the two RedMagics come out first 3D liquid cooling system, with built-in fan and air expulsion ducts; which, together with the use of graphene under the screen, promises to reduce temperatures by 16 degrees, which should prevent the processor from overheating even in demanding games.
But a gaming mobile has to be differentiated by something more than a powerful processor. The new RedMagic stands out for its special chip dedicated exclusively to gaming functions
Speaking of the display, it’s a 6.8-inch AMOLED panel which, of course, has a 120Hz refresh rate; although more important for gamers is the touch sampling frequency, that is, the number of times per second that the touch screen detects our touches, which is not lower than 960 Hz. we have two touch buttons on the side of the mobile , with a sampling rate of 520 Hz directly controlled by the RedMagic R2 chip.
As for the cameras, they don’t stand out much, with a 50MP main sensor; Most striking is the front camera, not because of its 16MP resolution, but because it’s hidden under the screen. In this way, the hole in the screen will not disturb us while we play.
The only two differences between the RedMagic 8 Pro and the RedMagic 8 Pro+ are in the design of the back cover and the battery; that of the Pro model is 6,000 mAh with 80 W charging, while in the Pro+ it is 5,000 mAh but in return the charging is 165 W and fully recharges the battery in 14 minutes.
In China, the RedMagic 8 Pro costs 3,999 yuan, or around 539 dollars, while the Pro+ costs 5,199 yuan, 700 dollars, with prices and launch to be confirmed in Europe.
