Last year, realme introduced the realme GT 2 and GT 2 Pro in January, and this year its successor is coming, the realme GT3, although there will be no Pro version, at least for now. It is a high-end mobile that attaches to a very specific distinction, the charging speed.

Realme is one of the companies that is making the most progress in this regard, and this mobile boasts of having a fast charge of nothing less than 240Wwhich allows it to be completely filled in less than 10 minutes.

In addition, realme continues to offer the charger in the box, so it positions itself as the best in this regard.

A charge from another planet
The realme GT 3 has a 4600 mAh battery with autonomy that looks very good, thanks in particular to the management of the company’s software.
Moreover, the new fast charge will allow the realme GT3 to be charged to 20% in less than 80 seconds, one and a half minutes. and if we want charge it to 100% even from 1% we can do it in 9 minutes and 30 seconds.
Regarding the battery degradation, they really indicate that they have made adjustments and taken this into account to ensure that after 1600 charge cycles the battery has not reduced its capacity below 80%.
In addition, the system has been designed to detect usage habits and promote smart charging, detecting if it is on and in use, if we have it in the car, etc.
A design with a striking LED
Last year the Nothing Phone (1) made LEDs all the rage on the back and it really wanted to show me its commitment to it. It’s a small LED in the upper rear area, next to the camera, which includes a transparent area that lets you see some internal components.
It’s a mix of bold design and at the same time content, which went down pretty well. Realme is tweaking the design of its GT series a lot and this is no exception.
This LED will also be used to display the charging status, say whether or not there are notifications, etc.
A top of the range that does not use the latest processor
The realme GT 3 opted for a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, a chipset used by high-end mobiles in the second half of 2022, and not for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Taking into account that realme highly values the adjusted price a lot of their models, we can assume that it is, at least in part, because of this.
Its RAM and ROM versions are multiple, with one of no less than 16 GB of random memory and 1 TB of internal memory.
The camera system is not much different from the realme GT 2, with a 16MP front camera, 50MP main rear and 8MP wide angle. The novelty is a 2 Mpx microscope camera, which will have to be tested to see if this is the case or if it is just a macro with a more striking name.
The screen measures 6.74 inches and has an odd resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels, with AMOLED technology and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It has a refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of 144Hz.
Price and availability
The realme GT3 will be available in no less than five versions depending on its RAM and internal memory, reaching 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
The sale price will start at $649. We will update the article as soon as the prices in Europe are published.
