Our iPad is able to open more than one window of the same application. Something really useful if we want, for example, open from different documents and be able to compare or modify them at the same time, or we just have to switch between two sections of the same app without losing sight of any of them.
How to open multiple windows of the same application
- We open the application for which we want to have more than one window.
- We slide gently from the bottom of the screen until we see the Dock on the open app.
- We touch the icon of the same application.
- We press the “+” at the top right.
We can repeat the process as many times as necessary. Once we have several windows open to access it, we can use multitasking or follow the steps up to point three and then touch the window we want to see on the screen.
How to open multiple windows of the same app together
- We open the application for which we want to have more than one window.
- We slide gently from the bottom of the screen until we see the Dock on the open app.
- We drag the icon of the same app to the left or right of the screen. We release when we see a dark margin appear.
In this case, we can only open two windows and, although their size is reduced by half, we see both at the same time.
The iPad, and especially since the arrival of iPadOS, offers us much more flexibility in the organization and distribution of our activities in several windows. What will iPadOS 15 bring us?
