NFC, virtual reality and much more

NFC, reality, Virtual

Google Chrome is a browser that is constantly updated with new features. This is the case now with the new beta, in the form of Chrome 81. A beta released by Android, Chrome OS, Linux, macOS, and Windows, where we find a series of new well-known browser extensions.

This new beta has just been launched, its shipping started yesterday, and offers a few new features to the browser. Among them we find the NFC, which is augmented reality or corrected some of the flaws that exist in its earlier forms.

NFC

The first big news in Chrome 81 launch of NFC Web , which allows a web app to read and write to NFC tags. This generates new options for use on the web, among which we find functions such as providing information about museum exhibitions, inventory management, badge information or conference pin and many others.

It promises to be an activity that helps advance the use of NFC and NFC cards on Android. For those developers considering installing it, Google puts your page together when explaining how to do it, without providing its codes.

Reality is augmentation

Introducing Chrome 81 two new features of immersion, both are designed to enhance and support augmented reality. The WebXR API, introduced concurrently on Chrome 79, now has virtual support. API support has also been introduced in HitTest WebXR, which is an API for putting things in real-world view.

This new API provides a way for you to get the experience of going downhill and interact with the real world at the same time. It will allow you to place virtual objects in real-world, in-camera view. Google provides more developer information on its blog, where there are links to find out more about the use of these APIs.

Another development

This is a new beta browser and comes with so-called evidence of origin, which allows testing new functions and provides feedback on usefulness, efficiency and whether it works or not when navigating. A series of tests was presented, in which a record of who would choose who could join, was found on this link.

The browser leaves us with some improvements and bug fixes in the new beta, all published by Google itself. Chrome 81 is now available in the beta version of Android, Windows, ChromeOS, iOS, macOS and Linux, as the company itself has already confirmed.
