Estimates of what could have been the best Christmas in history for Apple are starting to arrive. A new report from Flurry claims that nine in ten new US smartphone activations were new iPhones, with only the LG K30 in tenth position.
And these metrics are Christmas only, December 25, a day when all the gifts are opened in the homes of the United States and which therefore represents the reflection of what we wanted to give. Especially the models, the iPhone 11 is by far the one that has triumphed the most.
A bestseller, with the only absence of the iPhone 12 mini
As you can see in the graph above, the second most released model is the iPhone XR followed very closely by the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Later, the iPhone 12 would come, with the iPhone 12 Pro behind the iPhone SE and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. The new generation of phones made their August with the most fans, but the general trend has been to take advantage of the lower prices of previous generations
The iPhones that were released with less success were the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, with a downward trend. IPhone 12 mini not listed
But even with these difficulties, these Flurry numbers predict that Apple’s next financial results press conference (scheduled for late January) will be very positive. Perhaps the best Christmas present wasn’t an iPhone, but a few Apple stocks.
