After updating the Nokia 3.2, 8.3 and 8.1 in recent weeks, it’s now the Nokia 4.2’s turn. It’s always good news that companies continue with support and now you have a “new life” with Android 11.
Among the patch notes it is stated that it comes with version 3.150 of Android 11 and that it is a 1.5 Gb OTA, therefore as we always recommend it is better to be connected to a WiFi network and to keep the smartphone with a good battery level in order to install the update.
Among the improvements brought by the system, there is the new way of administering and managing all our conversations, the chat bubbles on the screen, the changes of confidentiality and the management of the permissions which are granted to the installed applications and, of course, typical security enhancements and updated security patch through March 2021.
Over the past few days, the update has been gradually rolled out to dozens of countries, and on April 12, it should already be available in 100% of the selected countries.
Check in the settings of the Nokia 4.2 if there are any pending updates to download and install. HMD Global has also indicated that the update will not be available for the moment in the following countries and operators: Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Chile (Entel Chile, Movistar Chile, Claro Chile, WOM), Colombia (Claro Colombia, Movistar Colombia), Czech Republic (O2 CZ), Israel, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Poland (Plus, Orange PL, PLAY), Romania (Orange RO), Russia, United States (T-Mobile) and Uzbekistan.
