As of yet, Nokia hasn’t shared when and which devices it plans to update to Android 12, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t started to do so. After the arrival of Android 12 on the Nokia X10 and X20, it is start to deploy in the Nokia G50.
The Nokia G50 is one of the company’s latest launches, a 5G mobile with Snapdragon 480, a 48-megapixel camera and priced under $ 300. It launched in September with Android 11 under the arm and you already receive Android 12
Android 12 in its purest form
Nokia has announced that the Nokia X10 and X20 will receive three years of Android updates, but the rest of the brand’s devices theoretically follow the unspoken rule: two main updates. The Nokia G50 launched three months ago with Android 11
The company has yet to officially share the news, although reddit forums say the update will arrive in Finland and some european countries. It requires a 2.09 GB download and corresponds to software version V2.160.
Nokia mobiles include Android with virtually no modification, so the Android 12 that comes to the Nokia G50 is similar to the one we have in a Google Pixel, except for the lack of exclusive features. In the screenshots we can see that the design is pretty much the same and it appears to have Material You’s dynamic theme system.
This update comes a few november security patch and it will bring the news of Android 12 such as privacy changes, new widgets, privacy panel and more. If you have a Nokia G50, you can check if the update is ready from the menu System> Advanced> System update> Check for updates.
