The coronavirus problem creates a series of challenges both at the social and technological level. Having emergency diagnosis and care requests is important, and one of the professional goals is to make the job as easy as possible.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation has published in the final hours of the COVID-19 program, the government's official request to facilitate coronavirus detection in Spain. However, it is a specific application for 5 independent communities, something that does not make us believe.

Coronavirus Diagnosis, in official application

Official applications for coronavirus diagnoses are essential to prevent the collapse of the health system and to be able to provide ongoing assistance. Diagnosis is usually not a recommended procedure without the necessary details, and because of these official sources (such as the Ministry of Health in the Telegraph) it is more important than ever.

The government has launched an app available within the web and on Android and iOS. The purpose of this application is to be able to enter our contact information so that health authorities can contact us, so that we can do a self-assessment (which the government itself recommends doing if we think we have symptoms) and a series of instructions and recommendations.

The initial disappointment of the program comes to us when we know that although it is a legitimate government request, its cover is not universal, but only 5 communities are:

1. Canary.
2. Cantabria.
3. Castilla-La Mancha.
4. Extremadura.
5. Asturias base.

In the app we will need to enter a valid phone number, as well as personal information. Optionally, we can activate geolocation and push notifications.

In another case, the app features the same diagnostic questions we've been seeing in other programs to find out if we have coronavirus symptoms.

The app is already available on Google Play, or you can only use it if you live in any of the 5 independent communities. In case you live in Madrid, Catalonia or Euskadi, the app will recommend that we go to their official applications.
