The main cause of lasting alerts is in their name: they are endless and always visible when you bring an Android notification panel. You can do less about it so far, without having to completely block them, even though the developer preview of Android 11 gives you the middle way: reduce them.
We've all recently heard the frustration of wanting to delete a perpetual notification trying to swipe it, so that it refuses to leave the screen. Android 11 DP3 is testing allow you to delete endless notifications, shown from that moment is minimized, taking up less space.
Permanent reduced notifications
The third-party developer preview for Android 11 is already here and, in what has become almost a tradition, introduces new features when it comes to notifications. In this case, it is a simple new feature but it will be widely adopted by those who use apps that require endless notification: now it can be slid to remove them.
Well, to get rid of what it means to get rid of them, no. Instead, these types of notifications will disappear from their current category and will be displayed in a small section called Operating systems in the background.
That is, they continue to be displayed in the notification panel, but in a subtle way it will take less spaceEspecially if you have collected several permanent notifications at once.
If at any time you want to save any of these default notifications, by tapping their name in the section running apps in the background a standard notification will open, thus accessing its content with additional touch, but it will avoid having to see the said notification each time you display notifications.
As with all news on the Developer Show and Android 11 betas, it is yet to be seen whether the behavior will continue in the final version, whether it will be scrapped or continued. We may be following the evolution of the following betas for Android 11.
