We’ve already talked about Galaxy AI, the feature set of artificial intelligence that the company presented at the start of the year. Among the functions available as part of Galaxy AI, we find real-time call translation or Google search around what we see on the screen, to give a few examples.
Last week we commented that the next version of One UI (Samsung’s customization layer) will bring artificial intelligence functions to the S Pen. Apparently, another of the new features that will soon arrive on the company’s mobile phones is the possibility of using AI to personalize our photos.
The new AI-based feature will allow us to edit photos taken in portrait mode
As we have been able to read in SamMobile, the function we are talking about could reach Samsung mobile phones with the launch of A 6.1.1 user interfacethe next operating system update (which should be available in the coming weeks).
The information comes from IceUniverse, a well-known leaker who indicated a few days ago in X that this version will include a function that we can use to edit photos taken in portrait mode thanks to AI. Apparently the idea is that we can edit our photos by drawing on the image, probably using the S Pen.
IceUniverse hasn’t shared too many details about how this feature works, so there’s basically no information on it. According to the leaker, the feature will be able to adapt the style of the image according to the drawing that we do thanks to the potential of artificial intelligence.
Although at the moment there are not many details on how this feature will work, what is known is that its use would be limited to images taken in portrait mode. Knowing that this is a function based on generative AI, It is likely to only be available on high-end mobile phones of the company, although we will have to wait to have official information.
