One UI 7 is coming, these are three iPhone features I want to see reach the Samsung Galaxy

Coming, features, Galaxy, iPhone, Reach, Samsung

Samsung is about to release a new major update for its mobile devices. It is One UI 7, based on Android 15, which will arrive as the successor to One UI 6 which in its different versions (like One UI 6.1) was full of changes and new features, especially regarding artificial intelligence.

We still don’t know many details about One UI 7. We do know that it will include interface changes and new icons. It will also include a new way to protect our most private apps and animation improvements. However, while One UI is a customization layer that is full of its own and very useful features, iPhones have some tools and features that I would like to have it on my Samsung Galaxy. These are the most important ones.

Absolute customization for the control center

Samsung has completely renewed the Samsung Galaxy Control Center With the arrival of One UI 6, the various settings options have been grouped and reorganized to make it more intuitive to use and with a more user-friendly interface. However, there is something that iPhones have in their Control Center that I would like to be able to use on my Samsung.

After a decade with an Android phone, I switched to an iPhone three months ago. I already know which platform I'm going to choose.

I am referring to the possibility of completely customizing the control center. Apple has renewed the quick settings menu of its smartphones with the new iOS 18, which I was able to test and which includes some important changes in the iPhone interface. One of its novelties is the possibility of Resize and rearrange Control Center options as you wish.

This allows us to create our own quick settings screen that fits our specific needs: if I use a setting a lot, I can make it a bigger icon to give it more visibilityor I can even group settings icons that I consider related by theme. One UI Control Center is fine, but I wish it would add these customization options.

Multiple themed lock screens

The iPhone allows you to set up multiple lock screens. With this feature, users can switch between multiple options depending on the theme and their needs, adding different quick accesses to the lock screen and different modes.

This allows us, for example, create a lock screen when we are during working hours and another for weekendswith different notification settings and, of course, a different wallpaper. In fact, this option also allows you to configure different wallpapers and colors for the home screen. Without a doubt a very useful feature that I would like to use on my Samsung mobile, especially if they add support for more widgets on the lock screen.

The iPhone’s new “anti-vertigo” mode

Many people suffer from nausea and dizziness when using a cell phone while traveling in a car or a bus. This is something that can be very annoying, because sometimes this feeling of dizziness can last for several minutes, even after you stop using your phone.

This problem occurs because our eyes are fixed on a small static point, while our body feels the movement of the vehicle. This difference can cause a feeling of dizziness, and Apple has implemented a solution in iOS 18: add black dots on the screen that move in conjunction with the carthat “tricks” our brain and prevents us from getting dizzy. I tried it and it works, at least to some extent, so I would like to have this feature on my Samsung Galaxy to be able to use my phone more comfortably when I travel by car.

I am a Samsung user for 10 years and I know clearly which app is the best. This is a must have if you own a mobile phone with One UI

Artificial intelligence, but for notifications

Last but not least, one iOS 18 feature that I think can be very useful is the AI-based notification summary (in the case of the iPhone, in Apple Intelligence). This feature allows AI to summarize the notifications we have received in an application over a given period of time. If you are one of those who mute all mobile notifications during your work or study day, this feature could be as useful to you as it is to me, which is why I would like Samsung to add it to Galaxy AI in One UI 7.

The new One UI update does not yet have an availability date, but it is estimated that it will arrive during the last quarter of the year.
