OnePlus joins the wave of foldable phones and could introduce its own this year

We hope OnePlus can bring something new to foldable phones, since the OnePlus 11, being a great phone, didn’t come as a surprise at all. Just yesterday during the presentation of its new flagship, the Chinese brand dropped an image of its folding future and the quarter in which it would be presented.

2023 is going to be a turning point for all Android phone manufacturers, as the latest mobile phone sales figures are not at all encouraging and put us in front of another very difficult year for these brands.

Folding mobiles can be the burning nail to cling to by all these manufacturers. OnePlus would be one of the newcomers on this shore where the experiences are somewhat new thanks to the capabilities of mobile phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 or the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

During the international presentation of OnePlus 11, via Android Authority, the company showed an image in which we could guess what its foldable mobile would be. At the same time, he also sho wed a possible date and it would be the third quarter of this year.

That is to say, it would be close to presenting Samsung’s own in August, although it is not yet known which week or month it will use these three in the third quarter.

Perhaps we are simply facing another OnePlus product, but the logic of this possible announcement is perfectly understandable by placing ourselves once again in the face of the disaster in mobile sales suffered by many manufacturers in recent months.

We don’t know either the form factor that OnePlus would use, so it could be between the names OnePlus V Fold or OnePlus V Flip. Everything is unknown, apart from this image used and the presentation window for the folding of the Chinese brand, but it is clear that it does not want to leave this market for one of the brands that currently has no competition, Samsung .
