The platform finally offers support for Apple Pay.
From PayPal have introduced a new Apple Pay option as a payment service. It is very curious that the company finally accepted this, since PayPay as such was born as another online payment service. Now, it will offer a good number of different payment methods for online purchases.
PayPal announced the new Apple Pay implementation last Tuesday, announcing that they would add more options for their services dedicated to Small business.
Apple Pay will be a new payment option for PayPal
PayPal will introduce Apple Pay as a new online payment option on its platform. PayPal-linked small businesses will also have the option to make Apple Pay an option for online orders.
Apple Pay will join other PayPal payment methods such as card payment, through PayPal, PayPal Pay Later and Venmo services.
“Starting today, small businesses will also be able to accept payments with Apple Pay, allow their customers to save payment methods, and update their cards with real-time updates.”
For its part, Apple is continuing its initiative to create an interest-free installment payment service with Apple Pay Later, which split payments into 4 installments over 6 weeks and will be managed through the Portfolio app. In theory, the launch of Apple Pay Later in the United States is imminent, but its expansion to other countries such as USA will take a few years.
The partnership between Apple Pay and PayPal is great news for consumers. Now it only remains to be seen if the company with the bitten apple logo also includes PayPal payment methods in one of its services, although it has been present in the App storeFor example.
