After switching on the basis of adjusted prices to the high-end with the POCO F3 and the POCO X3 Pro and the mid-range with the POCO X3 NFC, the Xiaomi sub-brand turns to a new segment: cheap 5G mobiles, less than 200 dollars. This is where the new POCO M · Pro fits in.
The POCO M3 Pro is official as a new entry-level 5G line that gives a lot for very little. To know how the POCO M3 Pro stands out from its competitionWe pitted it against similar bets such as the Realme 8 5G, Redmi Note 9T, Samsung Galaxy A32 5G, Moto G 5G, OnePlus Nord N100, and Vivo Y20s.
Lots of hertz for your prices
In our comparison, we have included terminals in a price range at POCO M3 Pro, below 200 dollars. In this range, the appearance of AMOLED is rare and that is why all terminals, including the POCO M3 Pro, have an LCD panel. We are also almost unanimous on the 6.5 inchesIf it weren’t for the 6.7-inch Moto G 5G.
Almost the same size, but not all screens were created equal. For example, the OnePlus Nord N100, Vivo Y20s and Samsung Galaxy A32 5G have HD + resolution, while the others, LITTLE included, bet on Full HD +. However, a good reason to brag about the POCO M3 Pro is that increase refresh to 90 Hz, something only the Realme 8 5G can match. The rest, at 60 Hz of all life.
Only two mobiles in this range are refreshing the screen: the POCO M3 Pro and the Realme 8 5G
Notch or drilling? The POCO M3 Pro relies on screen perforation, which is also the most popular solution in this price range. The only two devices in our comparison that continue to have a notch are the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G and the Vivo Y20s.
Dimensionality is in fashion
It has been common for some time for the cheaper terminals to ride a MediaTek-signed brain, like the infamous Helio. From the helium of yesteryear we have gone to the present dimension, which have become almost a staple of inexpensive 5G mobiles.
With most dimensions, the 6 GB of RAM of the POCO M3 Pro is not easily found in the alternatives.
the POCO M3 Pro bets on a Dimensity 700, the same of Realme 8 5G and technically a little lower than the 800U of the Redmi Note 9T and the 720 of the Galaxy A32 5G. In the two 4G models on our list – the Vivo Y20 and the OnePlus Nord N100 – the one chosen is the Snapdragon 460, while the Moto G 5G sets the bar a little higher with the Snapdragon 750G.
In memory and in storage, we have very few surprises. The POCO M3 Pro has versions with 4 or 6 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage, which is practically the same as what you will find in the competition, at least in the most basic version. Yes it is true that the 6 GB RAM version of the POCO M3 Pro it only finds a match in the Realme 8 5G.
Cameras and cut-off batteries of the same model
Few times have we made a comparison of mobiles in which the terminals were as homogeneous as this one: the POCO M3 Pro and all its competitors are betting on the 5000 mAh battery, with a kind of fast charge. In the POCO M3 Pro and most alternatives it is 18W, in the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G 15W, and in the Moto G 5G 20W.
With small differences in fast charging, the POCO M3 Pro and its competitors are betting on the 5,000mAh battery
There is unanimity on the battery capacity and there is almost that in the cameras too, at least in the main one. In front of, the POCO M3 Pro mounts an 8 megapixel sensor, which is surpassed by the vast majority of alternatives: the Realme and Motorola models double their resolution.
In the master bedroom, repeat over and over again the main sensor model of 48 megapixels and two sensors 2 additional megapixels. This is the configuration of the POCO M3 Pro, Realme 8 5G and Redmi Note 9T. Samsung and Motorola add the wide angle to the mix, and the two devices without 5G reduce the resolution of the main lens to 13 megapixels.
Comparison chart
As always, we leave it to you complete table with all specifications so that you can compare the rest of the characteristics of all terminals, paying attention to the details that are most relevant to you because of your preferences.
