How to use the Measures app?
Application It is found by default on many devices. If you can’t find it or have deleted it, go to the App Store and download it.
Remember that with this application you can calibrate the size of what surrounds you, measure objects and record the measurements with a photo. We offer you a short tutorial to learn how to use it:
- We open the Measures application and follow the instructions on the screen. We point to the object and analyze the reference frame that appears on the object, since it is intended for measuring and analyzing. We continue to move forward slowly and observe that a circle appears in the center.
- We move the center point to match in the initial part of the object, then touch the Add + button.
- We move slightly so that the another point coincides with the other end of the object to be measured, Then we touch the Add + button.
- Once the measurement is complete, you can adjust the end points. We hold down the points and drag them where we want. The measurement will change again.
How can I save a measurement?
Once the measurement is done, we can Touch the number to display it in centimeters or inches. We tap on Copy to be able to send the data to the Clipboard or save it wherever we want.
Another way would be take a picture of the scene. We touch the shutter button and the photo will be displayed in the lower left corner of the screen. Click on the photo and you can edit it or move it with your finger to the left to save it in the Photos app.
Do you want to take multiple measurements?
It is necessary that in certain measures you have to do several at a time. It’s simple to do, just tap the Add + button to start the second measurement.
We place the first measuring point at the beginning of the piece to be measured. We play again the Add + button to place the second measuring point.

Measuring a person’s height
- We open the application Measurements.

- If we want to take a picture, we play in the white circle, in the lower right corner of the screen. We will take the photo with the person and their measurements.
History of measurements
The best part is that you can have a history of all measurements. In the upper left corner appear three horizontal lines. A list of all actions taken during the current session will be displayed, including any screenshots taken.
With this history, you can save it in your Notes app or send it to a social network, email or device. When we are no longer interested in the measurements, we can delete them.
