Contained power and a camera that stands out
Coming with 4G means less power, but not too old: this Realme 12 4G starts with a Snapdragon 685, a SoC from just over a year ago. It is accompanied by 8 GB RAM and with two storage versions, quite large: 256 GB or 512 GB. It does not have SD memory expansion, although it allows you to double the RAM memory with an additional 8 virtual GB (stolen from the storage).
At the front, the Realme 12 benefits from a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate that reaches 120 Hz. The maximum brightness for HDR content is 2,000 nits. And this screen has a hole for the front camera: the sensor located below reaches 16 megapixels.
Behind, the Realme 12 stops the frills to equip a dual camera including a main one which indicates the paths: the equipped sensor is a Sony LYT-600 50 megapixel with mechanically stabilized lens (OIS). The secondary is limited to a monochrome sensor to improve the portrait effect.
In addition to the above, the Realme 12 is updated to Android 14 with Realme UI version 5.0, includes a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging (there is the 80W charger in the box), it has a dual stereo speaker and is IP52 certified.
Realme 12 4G price and availability
The mobile will arrive in Europe and will be available during Amazon Prime Day on July 16 and 17. On those days, the Realme 12 4G will be reduced to 189.99 dollars. Excluding launch, the prices are:
- Realme 12 8/256GB. 249.99 dollars. From July 18 to 31, it will cost 199.99 dollars.
- Realme 12 8/512GB. 299 dollars. From July 18 to 31, it will be 279 dollars at MediaMarkt.
