All this goes throughFeedback and Reward System (SDR),the heart of the application.
More than 60 cities already have this technology, which will be gradually implemented so that the application can be used anywhere.
It is important to know if RECICLOS has reached our city. A fact that we can know by consulting the website of the service we linked at the beginning.
Ecoembes, the non-profit organization that coordinates the recycling of light household packaging in Europe, was commissioned to create RECICLOS. For this, the necessary technology is implemented in theyellow containers in several cities in Europewith the aim of increasing the network of compatible containers more and more. Among the main recycling points are cities such as Castellón, Getafe, Seville, Vigo, Logroño, Málaga, Valencia or Zaragoza, among others.
Technology is increasingly present in our daily lives and at Ecoembes we want to integrate it into the sector to encourage the habit of recycling, looking for ways to keep recycling close to people and their way of life. life.
Recycle cans and plastic bottles by capturing their barcodes to earn points
The operation of RECICLOS is very simple. You just need to download the app from theplay storeOh thereApp store. First of all, we will have to register to be able to associate the points obtained with our account. Then we will have tomake sure our city has containers that are compatible with the application.
The application works with three types of containers: from yellow to QR and RECYCLING dispensers, similar to vending machines where we can deposit our cans and bottles. To see what we have nearby, we will go to the ‘Recycle’ tab and click on ‘Search for nearby containers’. Once we have found our nearest container, the first thing we need to do is scan the barcodes of the cans and plastic bottles of beverages we want to recycleand we will go to the yellow container.
Once in the container, we will deposit the containers there. Next,we will scan the QR of the containerand the points (or RECYCLES) will automatically be added to our account.
We can add 25 containers per week. Also, we can get extra points by inviting new users.
Redeem your points in raffles or environmental projects
The main objective of RECICLOS is none other than to promote recycling andincrease the rate of use of yellow bins. However, repeated use of the app generates a series of points that can be used for different actions. The app is updated with different ways to redeem the points we get with our recycling.
canparticipate in raffleswith products as scrumptious as electric scooters, tablets, bicycles and more. On the other hand, we can also use our points toparticipate in collaborative projectsthat will improve society. These projects can include local projects from the different cities that participate in RECICLOS or NGOs that request it.
Because recycling doesn’t have to be boring, these initiatives aim to be a link between technology and the environment.
