We have known for a long time that when Apple enters a new market, it completely revolutionizes it. The Mac, iPod, iPhone (turning 15 today), iPad, Apple Watch and AirPods are just a few examples of how Apple is here to change things. And so will the rumored Apple Glasses, virtual and augmented reality glasses.
A revolution among manufacturers ready to change the rules
Ming-Chi Kuo recently published an article about how the virtual reality industry is in the The best time for Apple to present its own proposal. According to the analyst, Apple will change the rules of the game in this area, starting this month of January 2023.
Kuo mentions that after excellent timing, Facebook is reducing its investment in hardware and gives up on its promises of revolutionary glasses. This is partly due to the recession affecting your advertising business. In this context, the renowned analyst sees an opportunity for other manufacturers to fill the void that Facebook will leave. He expects “rapid growth” in the industry and strong demand that will make Apple’s entry come at the best time.
Although Kuo himself acknowledges that he doesn’t know all the details of the hardware, including screens and other components, that future Apple Glasses will wear, he has the the certainty that Apple will lead the industryeven if he tries to copy the success of the Cupertino company.
“After Apple launches AR/MR headsets, I believe that Apple’s global rivals will compete to imitate them, taking the headset hardware industry to a new level of rapid growth and benefiting services and associated content ecosystem.”.
There are just over six months left before we reach January and the supposed launch of these glasses. Some that we could see presented, but those that we would have to wait a few more months for its launch. a few glasses that they can change the rules of the game and pushing virtual, augmented and mixed reality much further.
