Samsung announced in January the Galaxy S24 family of mobile phones along with Galaxy AI, a series of artificial intelligence functions that, in principle, were exclusive to this family of high-end devices. However, over time, Samsung has expanded Galaxy AI to more devicess, including the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S22 and their foldable phones.
Among these tools was also “Circle to search”, developed by Google, and now Samsung will bring this function to its mid-range devices, starting with four models of the Galaxy A range and two “FE” tablets.
“Surround to search” is no longer exclusive to Samsung’s high-end, it also reaches the mid-range
“Circle to search” is a function that allows do smart research of any object, subject or image that we have on the screen. After activating the function by holding down the home button (or the gesture bar), we can draw with our finger in the area of the screen where what we want to search is located, in order to obtain more information.
For example, if we are watching a movie trailer, we can use “Circle to search” to find information about a monument that we see in the trailer, or perhaps about the watch or glasses that one of the characters is wearing, among other things. The tool itself has improved over time

According to a statement from TM Roh, President of Samsung Mobile eXperience, this update “opens up new possibilities for the Galaxy A series and Galaxy Tab S9 FE series and reinforces our commitment to bringing cutting-edge technology to more Galaxy users.”
The “Circle to Search” function will start arriving this month to devices worldwide, via an update. Of course, this is a rolling update, so it will take a few weeks to reach all users once it is available in the first territories.
