After launching several devices almost identical to Apple’s, Samsung’s boss decided to take action
Just a few weeks ago, the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Ultra was presented, the Korean brand’s answer to the Apple Watch Ultra. And as is often the case with Samsung, The inspiration in the Apple device is more than evident. Just look at our comparison between the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 Ultra to see the many design similarities between the two devices.
This is not the first time this has happened, For years, Apple has accused Samsung of copying its designs.
Samsung boss angry for making ‘Apple clones’
As soon as they presented their new Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Buds, social networks were flooded with messages comparing them to the Apple Watch and AirPods, showing the great resemblance between them. And it seems that has angered Samsung CEO Lee Jae-yongwho is not at all happy with Samsung’s mobile division.
The anger is such that Lee Jae-yong demanded that everything be “done again”so we should expect significant changes within the company and in future devices. Even if there is no going back with those that have come forward.
The chairman (Lee) himself stepped in after Apple’s design plagiarism controversy and quality issues surrounding the Buds 3 series and Galaxy Watch 7 launched last month. The internal environment is currently very bad.
What is certain is that Criticism of Samsung’s new designs comes from many places, not just Apple fans.. Quinn Nelson of Snazzy Labs, a popular YouTube tech channel, had this to say upon seeing the new devices:
Today was a big L for Samsung, the Watch Ultra is the most blatant copy of an Apple product in years, and it’s horrible.
According to Ajunews report, These criticisms have even been heard in the specialist press.
It is applaud this anger of the Samsung bossthe truth is that the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra and Galaxy Buds 3 look a lot like the Apple Watch Ultra and AirPods 3, the Apple devices they have to compete with. Even the use of orange on the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra, or on the available straps, is visible to the naked eye. Let’s hope that the next creations will be more original.
