When we think of Samsung, we usually think of high-end mobiles, which can easily cost more than 1,000 dollars. We are talking about models such as the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 4 or Galaxy Z Fold 4.

Mobile cheap but complete
As the name suggests, the Galaxy A04s is nothing more than an upgraded version of the Samsung Galaxy A04 that came out of nowhere last week, and like that model, the company has given no warning of this launch. and just started appearing in stores in a few countries.
And that’s a shame because, although it is aimed at an audience that one might think is less demanding, this Galaxy A04s has potential thanks to relatively advanced components for the range. For example, the rear cameras stand out a lot, or rather the main rear camera, whose sensor has 50 MP resolution which should give good results with Samsung’s algorithms; however, we don’t expect much from the 2MP macro camera, while the depth sensor, also 2MP, can help a bit to create the effect of depth in our photos. The 5MP front camera doesn’t look too flashy either.
Instead, the screen stands out, mainly for one reason: the 90Hz refresh rate, something that was until recently exclusive to more expensive models but now we’re seeing in budget mobiles too. This should improve the experience, if only on the interface. Of course, keep in mind that the panel is still based on LCD technology and is not an AMOLED like other Samsung models.
Inside, we find an Exynos 850, which promises to be at least better than the Unisoc processor of the entry-level Galaxy A04; The Exynos brand wasn’t abandoned after Samsung opted for Snapdragon in the Galaxy S, but we’ll probably only see it in phones like this for a few years.
The Galaxy A04s comes with One UI Core 4.1 as standard, based on Android 12, but it would receive at least two updates, so it should receive Android 13 in the coming months. The price has not yet been confirmed, but according to the first leaks, it should cost around 179 dollars in Europe.
