Samsung is finalizing details of the launch of its new Galaxy S20 on February 11. But its engineers, meanwhile, continue to work on updates to previous models, such as the Samsung Galaxy S9.
In fact, a few weeks ago the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 was updated to Android 10, but we haven't seen the same step in rating the S family.
Of course, since October last year we are seeing a move confirming that Samsung is still working on this update.
A little delay
At the end of last year we knew what were the launch dates for Android 10 for Samsung phones. Among them were the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus. The chosen month was January 2020, but we can see how it ends when OTA with the new version of the program arrives.
Now, the updated data shows a slight delay in the update, which goes up February 2020
It is better to last a month than to fail
We don't know what caused the delay in sending Ota to release Android 10 and One UI 2 on the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, but it may be due to a problem seen in the beta versions.
In fact, both the S9 and Note 9 began to receive them at the same time, but only the Note 9 had them in a stable version later. We think, of course, but if Samsung decided to postpone the official update for a few days to be more confident about its new version of the system, it would be worth the wait.
As soon as the update starts we'll see how it gets to some countries ahead of time but as the new dates are in the Netherlands we don't believe there is a lot of time differences with Spanish models, they will surely get Android 10 before the end of next month
