For several months now, we have known that Samsung is working on One UI 7.0, the next big update to One UI based on Android 15. The new version of Google’s operating system will arrive at the end of the summer, so we will still have to wait for One UI version 7.0 to arrive on our devices (most likely at the beginning of the last quarter of the year).
Although for now there is no official confirmation of which cell phones are compatible with the next big update of One UIbased on the years of support offered by Samsung, it is possible to make an estimate of the mobile phones that will be compatible with One UI 7.0. Now, everything seems to indicate that Samsung is testing One UI 7.0 on one of the most popular Galaxy A: the Galaxy A55.
A letter in the firmware version indicates the arrival of One UI 7.0 on the Galaxy A55
As reported by SamMobile, the existence of a new device has been discovered on Samsung servers. firmware of tests for European version of the Galaxy A55 (whose model number is SM-A556B) which indicates that the South Korean manufacturer is testing the operation of the version of One UI 7.0 based on Android 15 on the Galaxy A55.
The information comes from a user X, who shared a screenshot referring to the new version. Apparently, the new version of firmware This is the A556BXXU4BXGA. As you can see in the picture, the fourth letter from the end is a B instead of A which appears in the same position as the current firmware version: A556BXXS4AXF3.

This happens when we are talking about a major operating system update, which means that the update of the firmware test we talked about includes significant changes. Considering how close Google is to the official launch of Android 15, it is very likely that the update we are talking about is One UI 7.0 for the Galaxy A55.
Interestingly, just a few days ago, the first rumors pointed to the possible arrival of the One UI 7.0 beta. According to the available information, the beta would arrive from July 29, although for now there has been no further news on the matter. In fact, leaker Ice Universe stated in X earlier this week that the beta could be delayed.
