Finally, in October it became known that One UI 7 would first be released in beta by the end of this year and thus move to a final version that would arrive on the Samsung Galaxy S25. It has now been reported that A beta version of UI 7 will be rolled out next week.
This year has been totally different from what Samsung is accustomed to the user who agreed to buy its flagship mobile at the beginning of the year, and thus receive the final version of the next version of Android between the month of October and November. The roadmap has been disrupted and it was even possible to update some of the flagship products to One UI 6.1.1; the version that arrived with the new foldables in July.
Ice Universe took to its X account (formerly Twitter) to announce that the One UI 7 beta based on Android 15 would be rolling out next week. Actually, gave a precise date: November 17. Of course, this is limited to two countries, namely Korea and the United States.
I predict that next week, after November 17, the One UI 7 beta will start.
The first countries are South Korea and the United States.– ICE UNIVERSE (@UniverseIce) November 11, 2024
The leaker, closely linked to many news regarding Samsung, did not give more information and whether other countries will join at the initial rollout or if the beta will open to other countries in a few weeks. Here in Europe, the first to test the beta has always been Germany, although it’s possible that with its rollout so delayed, Samsung will welcome other countries testing One UI 7’s new features.
One of the most important changes will concern the quick settings and notifications panel interface, which will have two well-separated spaces; As with other personalized layers like those from Xiaomi, OPPO or HONOR. Another of the notable aspects of One UI 7 concerns the smoothness of animations and this time it seems that Samsung has pulled out all the stops to imitate the experience generated on Apple’s iPhones.
Further details will be new widgets, more features for lock screen and new icons for Samsung system applications such as Gallery or others. From what has been leaked in different videos from previous weeks, it seems that the commitment is important on the part of the Korean manufacturer to continue improving the user experience of the next Galaxy S25, which will release the final version, and the rest of the flagship phones like the Galaxy S24 launched in Europe this year, its foldable and previous flagship models like the Galaxy S23.
