As the year comes to an end, all companies are working hard to prepare their series of releases for next 2025. There is still no official information about it, but thanks to several leaks we already have some previews of what Samsung is preparing next year. In fact, as usual for the South Korean firm, it will be a year that will begin with the announcement of the new Galaxy S25.
This family of devices, which will come with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, will have a new member: the Galaxy S25 Slim. This slim phone will debut later in 2025, although everything seems to indicate that Samsung will show it for the first time with the rest of the S25. Leaks continue to attack this ‘thinner’ phone, this time directly to their cameras
The Slim model will not give up having an Ultra photography section
The intention to launch an S25 Slim device cannot surprise us. For a few weeks now, the new Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has been available in Asia. This device is a direct evolution of the Galaxy Z Fold6, bet in this case on a thinner design and some interesting changes like the inclusion of a 200 megapixel module. All this without taking into account that the new iPhone 17 Air that Apple is preparing will be direct competition.
As we said above, this new device has already been attacked several times due to leaks. In fact, we already told you a few days ago that this device would come with an “Ultra” camera. Now, the new information collected by the GSMArena media goes much further, giving sharper details on all rear cameras
According to the aforementioned portal, the main camera of this smartphone will be one of 200 megapixels with the ISOCELL HP5 sensor (one that could also be present in the new Galaxy Z Fold7). Alongside this, we will find a 50-megapixel JN5 sensor as a telephoto lens, different from the JN3 that the Ultra model would have.
The third camera would be, according to this media, a telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. In addition to this data, the leak goes further by providing a detail that could be key, namely that Samsung has reportedly chosen to use the ALoP design for these cameras. Thanks to it, which is characterized by the placement of the lenses in front of the prism and not the other way around, you can save a lot of space
To see if this all comes to fruition, we have no choice but to be patient and wait until next year 2025. As we said above, Samsung would evaluate launch this new device in the second half.
