We have seen Android Auto apps before to watch mobile videos, watch YouTube and cast mobile screen to Android Auto, but none are as spectacular as Screen2Auto. This app combines a bit of all of the above for more or less turn android auto screen into tablet.
Screen2Auto uses an ingenious system so that you can open mobile apps on car screen, with a special launcher for the occasion and being able to interact with applications using the touch screen. Best of all, despite its complexity, it works very well.
Download and configure
The first thing you will need to use Screen2Auto is obviously Screen2Auto. The easiest way to install this application is to use AA Store
After installing AA Store, open the app and you will find a list of unofficial Android Auto apps ready for download. Press on Screen2Auto then press the button Install. If this is your first time using AA Store, you will need to grant the app permission to use storage and install apps.
Screen2Auto doesn’t take up too much space, so downloading is quick. Once the download is complete, you will need to press install to launch the installation of the application on the mobile. Before you can use it, you will need to open it to grant some permissions necessary for it to work.
Open Screen2Auto on mobile and you will come across the setup wizard which shows you the many permissions it needs for its operation. Although permission to Root First of all, in our tests, the app worked without root issues. Some specific functions or in some cases may not work properly without root access.
What you need to do is basically turn on each switch to grant the appropriate permission. The top group is required, while the bottom permissions are recommended but not required.
Your mobile applications, in the car
Now comes the fun part: connect the phone to the car’s Android Auto and open the Screen2Auto app. This brings up its own launcher, complete with desktop and app drawer. Unlike Android Auto launcher, in this one they are all the applications you have on your mobile.

To better adapt the mobile screen to the car, Screen2Auto opens applications in landscape, so that they adapt better to the car screen. Best of all is that you can interact with apps and games with the touchscreen of the car. There’s a little lag, sure, but not much and it’s even possible to play a game, with the car parked and safe, of course.
To navigate through applications and back, you can use the floating button, the functionality of which you can precisely control by opening the Screen2Auto options on mobile. The application has many settings, for example allowing you to adjust the screen resolution.
