Every time we transfer more money online. The distribution of payment for a meal with our friends, for example, is gradually changing from payment in cash to payment from our iPhone. With this there is great interest in be able to send and receive money easily especially through messaging applications. Something that is already, for many, a reality in Europe.
Sending money via WhatsApp, Telegram or iMessage is now possible if we are BBVA customers
While we are still waiting for the launch of Apple Pay Cash or WhatsApp Pay, BBVA has found a solution with which we can send money from any messaging app
This is possible thanks to the BBVA Cashup app, which installs a keyboard on our iPhone (also on Android devices) which acts as direct access to the Bizum platform. With this we manage, as long as we are BBVA customers and have a Bizum account, to be able to send money from a whatsapp conversation or from any other messaging application. In fact, to be exact, we could also use this method in the Reminders app, because in the end any text field gives us access to this “Bizum keyboard”.
Activating BBVA Cashup is very easy. The BBVA application on our iPhone being duly updated, the steps to follow are as follows:
- We open the app Settings on our iPhone.
- We entered General.
- We played on Keyboard.
- We choose Add a new keyboard.
- We select BBVA.
- We played on BBVA Cashup – BBVA.
- we activate Allow full access.
Ready. Now that this nifty keyboard is available, just go to any messaging app and follow these steps:
- We press and hold the world ball-shaped button at the bottom left of the keyboard.
- We choose BBVA Cashup – BBVA
- We select the contact to which we want to send money.
- We enter the amount we want to send.
- We type in our BBVA password.
- We check the operation with the code that we will receive by SMS.
It’s easy. With this system, we will avoid having to access other applications to do something as simple as sending money. From the same WhatsApp conversation we can quickly access a mini Bizum with which to transfer.
Without a doubt, you must recognize the merit of the original idea that BBVA had to help us with the small transfers we make every day. Transfers which are becoming simpler, it is true, but which, as we can see thanks to initiatives like BBVA Cashup, still have a lot of room for improvement.
Ultimately, it’s about streamlining processes so that we can send and receive money comfortably and easily. Nothing more comfortable, at least for the moment, than doing it directly from a WhatsApp, iMessage or Telegram conversation, right?
