MacPaw’s Setapp announces that it will be part of the alternative stores to the App Store under iOS 17.4 with an attractive offer of applications
One of the brands that MacPaw aims to take full advantage of alternative app store system in EU via Setapp Mobile. They had already announced their initial plans in Aug ust 2023 and recently announced their beta launch in April. Setapp currently works on Mac and is essential, in case you didn’t know, is a subscription platform that provides access to thousands of third-party apps for a subscription of $9.99 per month
Setapp will enter as an alternative store on iPhone thanks to iOS 17.4
According to MacPaw, the beta will cover different categories. They promise a “variety of carefully curated apps” including those that are already favorites chosen by their own users. They divide it into 5 categories, taking into account productivity, creativity, lifestyle, utilities and professional tools.
The productivity category aims to increase the efficiency of our iPhone with applications that manage calendars, applications that allow us to personalize the experience we have on the Internet and much more. About creativity will be added applications designed to animate photographs, create documentsamong others.
On another side, Improving routines and developing better habits will be covered by lifestyle apps. Finally, we will have advanced applications for detailed document searching, database management and spreadsheets. An interesting fact is that developers will be able to be part of this new stage in iOS by submitting a request through the MacPaw platform.
