I recently returned from a press trip, for the presentation of new Xiaomi products, and I met some friends and colleagues from other media there. Two of them were carrying the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 as their personal mobile, and in both cases I had the feeling that a pencil would be a really useful everyday item.

It is clear that not all foldables will take advantage of this accessory, but of course the book type ones will, due to their larger screen size and having more space to store it.
Note successors
Samsung has already clarified that the Note family was abandoned when it included its novelties within the Galaxy S. In fact, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is almost a Note, in its form and in its software, in addition to being Samsung’s first mobile outside of this family to integrate a stylus.
The fact is that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is also compatible with this pencil, as was its predecessor, but it cannot fit it inside the body, requiring you to carry a case to store or store it somewhere else.
Samsung may want to leave this novelty for next year’s model, but it’s clear that if there’s one type of mobile that can benefit from this device, it’s the company’s type of folding book. .
Productivity and creativity
This mobile allows you to use the internal screen with multiple windows, with more advanced drag and drop functions than the stock Android, and with plenty of space for taking notes. Being able to carry the Stylus always with you would allow greater use of it.
But its use is not limited only to the field of productivity. My partner has an iPad with Apple Pencil for doing Fine Art projects, and every time I see her with the tablet, I think the Fold would be a perfect mobile for her…if it had the stylus built in.
This strategy should not be taken by Samsung, other brands can also be encouraged, but considering that the one that has opted for this accessory the most and the one that has the best software is a Korean company, it is strange that at this stage still don’t have a Fold with a built-in stylus.
