We already know a lot about the iPhone 13, but the rumor trickle is continuous. Now we get new information from Jon Prosser’s hand revealing new details about the iPhone 13 or iPhone 12s, which were found in one of the prototypes tested by Apple.
Apple is already testing its new iPhone for this yearWe have already seen with a prototype iPhone 5s that these prototypes are prepared months in advance. And it was from a CAD drawing of one of these devices that Prosser obtained the information.
On Thursday’s episode of her YouTube show Home Page Tech, Prosser revealed interesting new information on upcoming iPhone models, which he insists on calling the iPhone 12s:
1TB capacity and a new notch
It appears that in much of the prototypes Apple is currently testing, we have a capacity TB, which means doubling the maximum storage capacity of iPhones for a few years.
“We’re in the early stages of the iPhone 13 and we only have prototypes, which means not much can happen to the end device. But I’ll tell you that most of these prototypes, they tell me, have a terabyte of storage
The 2015 iPhone 6s was the last to have a maximum storage of 128GB. The iPhone 7 went up to 256GB. Then until the iPhone XS, we didn’t see a jump until 512 GB. Something that stuck in the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro generations.
On the other hand, we come back to talk about the notch. In this prototype that Prosser had access to, the notch is actually smaller but not in the way we expected. The notch would occupy the same length, but its thickness would be reduced
We will see if at the end this prototype becomes the final device or not. It is possible that only be one of the designs tested by Apple at the moment.
