Nail new suggestions with quick responses started appearing on WhatsApp, but not thanks to an update to the popular messaging app but for a google update. Through gboard and the Android System Intelligence component Google makes WhatsApp smarter.
This isn’t the first time that Google has added smart features to WhatsApp. Some returning versions of Android already added these quick replies in notifications
This is what WhatsApp quick replies look like on Gboard
When we discuss WhatsAppwhen we open the keyboard to answer, now we can see suggestions with possible answersstill based as part of the conversationjust like for a few years it was already happening in notifications.
Tapping on a smart reply will paste it into the input box so we can send the message or write something else. The smart reply is not sent automatically after typing to prevent it from being sent by mistake.
If we long press on a suggestion, we will see that smart answer
The function is called keyboard tricks, and is responsible for displaying smart reply options and paste suggestions in supported apps. If we deactivate it, we will stop seeing these suggestions in all applications.
Gboard’s smart responses have started trickling down to users to all devices supporting the Android System Intelligence component.
