The iPhone has become an indispensable tool in our daily life. To the point where we share everything, including private documentation that we can sign from the iPhone. In my case, if ever I want blur, erase or pixelate personal data in a photo I use a connect for Photos which lets me do it from the iPhone.
Remove personal data from a photo with iPhone
Sometimes we may want to hide or blur something in a photo we want to share. Especially if you do it on social networks, with a family member or an acquaintance. I looked to the Mac before, use Preview to place color blocks above what I want to hide.
Some time ago I discovered the Annotable application, which I no longer know who recommended it to me. But what I do know is that I installed it on my iPhone and I could never open it. In fact, whenever I set up my iPhone from scratch or restored, I manually install it and only enjoy one of its features.
I’m probably missing a lot of things, because its pixelation feature It is very comfortable and works very well.. I might give it a try one day, but for now, this is how I take it:
- I take a photo or I go to Photos to modify a photo already taken.
- In the upper right corner there is a button with ellipses.
- We look for the Annotable icon and click on it.
- On the bottom left we have the rasterize tool, where we can choose the shape and size.
With this tool activated, we can create pixelated areas to hide anything we want in a photo or screenshot. In the case of the example, we covered the license plate of a car so you can share it on social media. To confirm the change, just click OK and accept the changes.
Add watermarks to prevent misuse of documentation
Although the previous example is one of the simplest, there are other times when this application can be very useful. Sharing the DNI as it is is crazy, so we have to cover key data such as the validity date or place watermarks on it to determine its use. It turns out with Annotable we can also incorporate texts that can serve us precisely for that.
We can watermark text without using a Mac or PC. And the free version of this application is still enough, since the text input tool is included with your download. Following the same steps as before, we will change the rasterize tool to those with a capital “A”, which allows us to put texts.
Thus, we can place phrases or limit the use we have intended for a document, even being able to increase the size, change color and orientation. Undoubtedly, this application has everything we need to protect our digital activity and identity.
