Our Dock of Mac has quick access to the apps we installed and our reference access access download, Finder, Safari, etc. It is common that over time we collect enough resources for the Doc and need to put in order. One of the best ways to do it is through spacer blocks will allow us to "collect" applications
Creating spaces in the terminal
To build these spacers, which at the end of the program are reduced to empty icons, we will use the Terminal. The steps are as follows:
- We open the app Signal which we will find in the folder Other inside the folder Applications. We can also use Spotlight (Command (⌘) + Spacebar) to search it.
- We copy and paste the following command, without quotes: "default writes com.apple.dock-persistent apps -array-add & # 39; {" tile-type "=" spacer-tile ";} & # 39 ;; Killall Dock. "
- Press Enter (↩︎).
In doing so the Dock will do it it will restart and there will be an empty space at its end. Now we just drag the spacer to the desired position. We will repeat the process to make all the spaces we need.
If at any time we want to uninstall the spacer we simply remove it from the Dock, wait a second and then uninstall it.
The options offered by this program are many, from typing group applications, for example entertainment, communication, production to grouping based on work we build on a computer such as work or free time.
