Chaos on Twitter. When Elon Musk gave his employees an ultimatum to work “without rest”, many responded by quitting their jobs and giving it all up. And it put everyone on alert, because if there’s no one behind the wheel, Twitter It could fall and stop working at the slightest failure emitted by its servers.
Given this scenario, many regulars on the service began to assume that Twitter was going to shut down, pointing out many hashtags separation. For our part, we can’t do much more than attend the “show”, even if we can use our iPhone to archive our tweets in case all data is lost
Take the opportunity to clean up and save your Twitter memories
One way to save your tweets to a file is with Jumbo, an app we told you about back in 2019 that seeks to boost the privacy settings of all of our social profiles. You can download it for free from the App Store.
be careful: archiving your tweets implies deleting them from your twitter profile without the possibility of recovering them, so you would end up with an empty timeline. Only do this if you’re ok with cleaning up your public tweet history. |

Once you have downloaded and opened Jumbo, Click on the section ‘My identity’ from your main screen:
Within this section, look for the Twitter button and click on it (you will need to login with your service account):
Once you are logged in, you will have the possibility to archive the oldest tweets of a day directly on the screen. Just tap the option and follow the steps, including the option to save a copy of all tweets to the Jumbo app itself and (optionally) to iCloud as well:
Ready, you just have to confirm the options you have selected. At this point, Jumbo will archive the tweets from your Twitter account, which means deleting them from your public profile. As I’ve warned before, don’t continue if you want to keep your Twitter posting history.
We don’t know what will happen with Twitter, everything is too chaotic at the moment and therefore we are in an unpredictable situation. Maybe this will help you make the decision to “clean up” as they say. Or maybe, with a little hope, this social network will see better days again.
