Little by little, ChatGPT and other generative AIs are making a dent in our lives and extending to our cellphones in various ways. And the most important: it does it in an easier way so that the general user can use them without having too much knowledge.
One of the best examples is LuzIA, an assistant that enters our iPhone via one of the most famous applications of all: WhatsApp. Not only does it answer our questions ChatGPT style: it’s also able to transcribe the audios sent to us so we don’t have to listen to them. Let’s see how we can do it.
It’s not a contact, it’s an AI
Installing LuzIA on our iPhone is currently free. Simply open the official Assistant website with your phone and click the “Try Now” button that appears:
You will see that the iPhone will go to WhatsApp, where it will ask you to confirm the addition of the LuzIA contact. Click ‘Continue chatting’:
From there, you can now interact with LuzIA as if they were another person on your WhatsApp:
If you write a question, LuzIA will answer you. If you send him an audio with this question, he will send you his answer in text format. And if you transfer someone else’s audio to it, it will transcribe it for you. And you can do it in Spanish or even in other languages: LuzIA had no problem transcribing an audio for me in Catalan:
Our colleagues from Xataka have learned that LuzIA is already on more than 60,000 phones, having exceeded one million requests. It’s easier to install than alternatives like God in a Box, and so far its executives are funding it with their own resources. It remains to be seen if this expansion multiplies, but we could consider one of the possible applications of AI in the future.
