Among the many devices and uses that mobile phones have relegated to the drawer, cash payment stands out, among others. In countries like Europe, payment by credit card is very widespread, but despite this, payment with a mobile phone or watch is gaining more and more strength. Although some stores do not want to charge with these methods (for whatever reason), the majority of users consider the convenience and security of these payments as something they will not give up.
Google has allowed payment with Android phones for many years, with the launch of Google Pay. However, this application has long since disappeared and has given way to Google Wallet which, in addition to integrating bank cards to pay, allows you to store other types of cards, like any other wallet.
Many companies, such as airlines, have used Google’s API to easily create boarding passes in Google Wallet, allowing users to have them in a specific location without the risk of losing them. But also There is the possibility to record any other card or entry there manually.
To do this, we simply need the ticket or card to have a barcode or QR code, which we must save. You must open the application Google Wallet and select the last option, called Photo. There we have to look for the image with the barcode or QR code. It is recommended, before searching for it, we edited it to cut only the code itself, and not the entire image or screenshot sent to us.
Once the image is loaded, you must save it by clicking on the next button. There we will go to a screen in which You must enter both the pass name and a description to remember the details.. Clicking Next again opens the pass, already saved, and we will have it available for scanning.
Of course, if it is a one-time pass and not something we always want to carry with us, is it possible to delete it. You just have to click on the three-dot icon in the upper right corner and select the Delete option. On this screen, there are other options, such as being able to use this pass with other Google apps, such as Calendar.
