In twisted scripts and even Hollywood, we learned a few days ago that Google was planning enable recording calls directly from your phone system, the default driver for Pixel phones and, in the future, Xiaomi.
We've had just a few tracks of their work from text strings and drawings included in the app's APK, but now you managed to make it work in XDA. It is therefore guaranteed that Google Phone will record calls, in addition to its functionality.
Record calls without introduction or external applications
Recording calls from the Google phone app will be as easy as it should be: during an ongoing call, you tap the record button and the recording begins. From that moment the button changes to allow you to stop recording.
If you use it for the first time, Google informs you that it is your responsibility to comply with the current call recording law. In addition, the application play a voice announcement served by someone else
This recording is recorded on Recent category application by phone, playback, share or start a new call, video call or phone call. There seems to be no way to turn off the record right now, even if we're in the middle of a half-baked project, so it may come later.
This phone recording was tested by XDA on Pixel 4 for Android 10 and Google Phone 44 beta, though it is not officially available to all users. It is yet to be seen that it will arrive as a Pixel Feature Drop bundle or as part of Android R. If it is Special Pixel function, without a doubt it will create misunderstandings with users, because Google itself has put the brakes on the apps to record calls from Android Pie and it would be bad for him now to just return his phone.
