Apple suggests waiting for an internal fix for the latest issue affecting the Apple Watch!
Articles about the Apple Watch often highlight the device’s features that alert users to important health changes. But a series of recent reports have instead begun to highlight a series of “ghost keys” that are problematic on certain models of the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
According to a statement from Apple, Issue affecting some Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 screens occurs when devices “jump erratically” or display unexpected behaviors, without any user interaction.
The Apple Watch Ultra acts alone, but it’s due to a bug
The company with the bitten apple says it is working to resolve this failure. But while this is happening, recommends customers keep their Apple Watch software up to date. Apple did not specify the extent of the problem or provide a timeline for a possible solution. It’s unclear whether faulty hardware is a contributing factor.
For the moment, Apple recommends that technicians wait to investigate before accepting a repair for these “ghost keys.” Instead, they recommend suggesting that customers experiencing this issue force restart their Apple Watch by holding down the Digital Crown and Side button at the same time for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
The latest Apple Watch models have been complicated
The last few months have been quite eventful for everything related to these Apple Watch models, presented in September. In November last year, users complained that these models started flashing briefly when permanent mode was activated. At the time, the company investigated the issue and was ultimately able to resolve it.
On another side, Apple was forced to suspend the sale of the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the United Statesdue to an order from the International Trade Commission (ITC) based on alleged infringement of a patent filed for the Masimo brand.
Even if the situation is not completely resolved, at least the company was able to resume its sales before the end of the end-of-year holidays and therefore does not significantly affect revenue.
