Sony wants to expand beyond the PC and wants to bring some of its great games to the Apple ecosystem.
The PlayStation brand is one of the most profitable in the world, despite the distribution problems that have arisen since the pandemic. The company has many quality licenses to exploitlike The Last of Us, God of War or Horizon, many of them could be a hit in other markets.
Sony has already dropped the exclusivity of its games, with some of them already playable on PC. For this very reason, the Japanese company wants to further expand its licensesand considers Apple and iPhone as its main partners.

9to5Mac reported that Sony wants to expand its market to mobile, specifically for iPhone and iPad. All of this confirmed by Sony Interactive Entertainment President Jim Ryan:
By expanding into PCs and mobile devices, and it has to be said… live services as well, we have the opportunity to grow from having a presence in a very narrow segment of the general gaming software market to having a presence virtually everywhere. .
These statements were made right after the release of the report which mentioned the large collection of mobile games, far exceeding the PC and console market. Even Sony is starting to prepare for the expansion, since signed Nicola Sebastiani, former head of Apple Arcade
