What a series of updates Telegram has, this is already the second major one it releases in December. Telegram usually updates its apps once a month, always with an important series of changes that affect all users. Some of these novelties are intended for those who have contracted Telegram Premium; although, to date, these are more cosmetic than clearly useful. Greater privacy and better personalization
Telegram congratulates us for the year with a gift for all of us who use its applications. After the previous version number 9.2, version which promoted the application to a major levelTelegram 7.3 lands by surprise as an old friend who ends up joining New Year’s Eve dinner. And old friends aren’t as busy as this latest app update.
Personalization is not immune to novelties, nor features designed to maintain privacy. These new features aim to further improve the use of Telegram. And the developers are taking the opportunity to expand the list of animated Emojis for premium users.
The changes that Telegram 9.3 introduces in its Android application are as follows:
- Spoiler warning for images and videos. Telegram allows you to hide the sent media content so that the other person can only see it if you click on the send. Content does not disappear after viewing.
- Reduce occupied storage to 0 GB. With this new version, the application can save the occupied space until nothing is subtracted; always without counting the storage that Telegram itself occupies. The setting can be found under “Storage Usage”.
- More media editing tools. Users have more options when it comes to personalizing content before sending it.
- Change profile picture to contacts. That a person is difficult to recognize when entering their conversations? Telegram 9.3 allows users to customize another’s profiles, just like the contact’s name. In addition, there is the possibility of proposing a photo to the desired contact.
- public profile picture. For more privacy, Telegram allows you to choose two profile pictures: one private, for the chosen contacts, and one public, for the rest of the people.
- More interactive Emojis for everyone, 10 animated Emojis only for Telegram Premium, more progress animations for Android and the ability to hide the list of participants in groups of more than 100 participants.
The latest Telegram update is now available on the Google Play Store and on the Telegram website. Just in time to release it before the end of 2022.
