The new Spotify feature has been discovered by developer and engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong via On Twitter indicating that the platform was operating on it Tastebuds, allowing users to discover music through their friends.

It's so new it's so much like work to know what your friends are listening to on Apple Music. Spotify has friends-related activities in its desktop version, but so far there is nothing quite like it for its mobile or iOS, or iPadOS or Android versions.
There are rumors that Spotify is experimenting with other types of social activities, but it is not known yet if they will be released eventually in the upcoming update. If Spotify Tastebuds stays legal, they will probably ask you for permission before sharing any confidential information with your users.
