Steve Jobs was a very peculiar person and as a kid he was famous for his big pranks in the classroom.
Many notorious stories about Steve Jobs are fascinating, like the curious autograph he once sent or when he presented a device kept in his pocket, but very few stories focus on his youth. And the truth is that, as a child, Steve Jobs was quite mischievous and loved pranks.
Steve was born in San Francisco, February 24, 1955. His biological parents were a graduate student named Joanna Schieble and a Syrian assistant professor named Abdulfattah Jandali. Unable to care for him, Steve was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs, who had always wanted a child. And it’s something that marked Steve forever, even to the point of making him cry every time he heard a song.
Jobs was bored in class as a kid and made practical jokes
As a child, Steve Jobs attended Monta Loma School, which was only four blocks from his home. There he befriends a boy named Rick and the two they were having a good time in the principal’s office and punishing because of the practical jokes they played.
I was a little bored the first few years, so I made sure to get myself in trouble.
One of these early pranks was to hang several posters around the school saying that the next day was “bring your pet to the school day. This prompted dozens of students to bring their pets to class the next day, sparking chaos with dogs chasing cats all over the building.
On another occasion, they both convinced a few students to tell them the combinations of your bike locks. The result was once again huge chaos out of school, with pupils having to stay until 10 p.m. while waiting to go home.
But none of those jokes were as heavy as the day Steve Jobs decided drop a snake in class and light a firecracker under the teacher’s chair. One of the most dangerous pranks little Steve Jobs pulled off as a child.
Even if all these jokes they ended up with the expulsion of steve jobs, his parents did not punish him. They said Steve was bored at school because the teachers didn’t challenge him enough, until Mrs. Hill got to fourth grade. According to Jobs, “he learned more from her than any other teacher” and “without her, I’m sure I would have gone to jail.”
Although the truth is that Steve Jobs never stopped making jokes, even one of those pranks ended up being an illegal business without which Apple would not have existed. Genius stuff.
