A study shows how well a user could repair their iPhone in time, in addition to knowing what type of user by age would do it faster.
The analysis firm CIRP shared a few days ago an important study based on iPhone users and how long it would take to replace or repair a damaged Apple product. The results are interesting since there are users who would do it immediately or who could wait up to a month after the device has been lost or stolen or has been hit to such an extent that it damages the battery, the screen or any other function.
iPhone is the most important device above iPad and Mac for repair or replacement
According to the results of the study, 45% of users said they would repair or replace an iPhone immediately, if possible the same day. As for Mac, this was only reflected in 27% of users. The percentage drops immediately given a 1-2 day response to 34%. Longer, like a week, 15% of users agree.
The iPad and Mac come out more favored considering the term of a week or so. It should be noted that the study included a small number of users who indicated that they could wait more than a month or that they would never fix your device. The detailed data can be seen in the following chart.
For which type of user is it more feasible to repair their device?
Another CIRP study went beyond the question and now the survey was based on users’ level of interest in repairing their devices due to their age
The results were classified into 6 age groups, the first of them aged 18 to 24 showed that they did not care with 27% in the same day or immediately. The percentage does not improve much in the following period of 1 to 2 days since it is 32%.
The age group that showed the most interest in replacing or repairing their device more quickly is that of 55-64 years old. Practically 90% of the term immediately to 2 days. The next group that showed the most interest was the 45 to 54 year olds with 89% between the same period. In the following graph you can see the precise results.
Who would have thought that young people do not show such attention when it comes to repairing an appliance. The reality is that there are also other factors that influence the direct decision to do so immediately or for a while. One of them is money, as well as the type of damage. Suppose an iPhone crashes the screen and for some reason you can’t display anything, what would you do? We have no doubt that we would seek out the rapid diagnosis to know what to do with the device. One option that isn’t unreasonable is to fix it yourself, is it worth it with Apple parts?
Another important factor is the type of repair based on an Apple Store or authorized reseller.. Not in all cases, we have an Apple store nearby, in addition to having a device that works as a backup. If the iPhone is out of warranty, repairing it can be expensive.
