From time to time, Apple has made the decision to stop supplying parts of one or more older products. The main reason is because of stock shortages, although it is also true that it seems to be a way to tell us that the time has come to buy a new model.
That time has come again, as the following devices are completed on Apple's list of "old and obsolete products."
- MacBook Air (11in, mid-2013)
- MacBook Air (13in, mid-2013)
- MacBook Air (11in, early 2014)
- MacBook Air (13in, early 2014)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid-2014)
- IPod Touch (fifth generation)
That's not to say that the owners of these products should throw it away, and some of it is still able to use MacOS Catalina – it already doesn't have Apple's technological support.
However, the remaining components are available in the foreign and secondary companies market. A complete list of unsupported products can be found at Apple Support pages.
