When smart mobile phones started to become popular in Europe, especially thanks to WhatsApp, Many thought that these devices would replace computersThe reality is that computers, both desktop and office, are still among us, but it is true that their use has been almost limited to professional activities, inside and outside the home.
Cell phones have taken over much of the role of PCswith much simpler interfaces, but little by little they evolve and partly resemble computers. Samsung’s DeX is a good example. It is an interface for using the mobile phone on a large screen and which resembles desktop operating systems.
This is also what an app called Smart docking station, which brings a classic feature of computers to mobile phones: a permanent app bar at the bottom of the screen. It’s similar to what we’re starting to see in foldable phones and now some tablets too.

It is an experience similar to the one we live with the new Samsung foldables.
It’s a simple app that can change the way we use some apps and it is convenient if we open applications from time to time. This application is free but is not available on the Google Play Store because it requires some services that Google does not allow all applications. It can be downloaded for free from F-Droid, or we can download the APK file and send it to our mobile.
