When Samsung introduced its next-generation foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, the devices came with a new version of the One UI operating system, the version of Android that Samsung uses on all of its phones and tablets. This is A 6.1.1 user interfacean update containing AI news and other important changes.
Users of other Samsung Galaxy phones have been waiting for several weeks to receive this new version of the system, and very soon the wait is over: Samsung will launch the update to One UI 6.1.1 in the next few days
One UI 6.1.1 will be available first on Samsung’s most premium phones, then it will reach the rest
The update to One UI 6.1.1 will start reaching the first compatible phones at some point between August 29 and September 6According to Tarun Vats, a well-known leaker and analyst of the Android ecosystem. In addition to the new AI features, this update is expected to include major improvements in system performance and fluidity, as well as minor bug fixes.
As usually happens with these types of updates, the new version of One UI will be available first for the most recent high-end phones, and shortly after it will start reaching more devices, including tablets, mid-range phones and more. These are the first smartphones that will receive the update to One UI 6.1.1
Among the new features that arrive with One UI 6.1.1, we find the possibility of “AutoZoom”, an AI-based tool that can recognize people and animals to adjust the optimal zoom when recording videos. Also arrives the new Portrait Studio that allows take a photo of a person and edit it by applying effects
In a few days, users of the first devices compatible with One UI 6.1.1 will be able to start testing and using these features and other new features that come with the operating system update. On the other hand, the update to One UI 7, the next version of the customization layer based on Android 15, could take longer to arrive.
