After almost two years of waiting, a few days ago the guys at Respawn finally announced the roadmap to launch the Apex Legends battle royale on mobile devices. But it seems that this will not be the only title found under the umbrella of Electronics Arts which will also make its landing on mobiles.
EA has announced that by 2022 it will launch Battlefield for mobile devices
EA announced this upcoming release in a statement stating that the developer in charge of porting the game is Industrial Toys.
Oskar Gabrielson, CEO of DICE states that:
Make no mistake: this is an indie game. A completely different game from the one we design for consoles and PC, specially designed for the mobile platform. It is created from scratch by IToys to make a Battlefield
playable anywhere and you can expect a unique skill-based experience. This mobile game is entering a testing period for launch next year, so we hope to have more details soon.
It seems that in the electronic arts they don’t want to deliver the same gaming experience to mobile devices follow another path. PUBG and Fortnite allow you to play the same maps and offer the same gameplay in their mobile apps, unlike Call of Duty: Mobile whose battle royale map has nothing to do with the version for PC and consoles.
A few days ago, DICE announced the launch of Battlefield 6 for the end of this year. There are many rumors that the leap in quality and mechanics that they want to offer with this new title probably Forget the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, although there is nothing confirmed.
