Personalization has always been one of Android’s strengths, and probably the maximum expression of it is reflected in the themes for android. Various wallpapers, icons, fonts and/or styles that can completely change the design of your mobile.
Themes aren’t a standard Android feature, so in most cases they come in addition to layers of customization. However, on phones with a personalization layer that does not support themes, you can still enjoy some of its elements such as backgrounds or icons if the system or launcher allows it. Now well, Where can you download themes for Android?
Official themed apps and stores
As we mentioned earlier, Android does not natively include theme support. At least not without inventions like Substratum, Swift, with the big drawback that you’ll usually need root access to run them. However, some customization layers include their own theme supportbeing more frequent in the eastern layers than in the western layers.
Thus, Huawei and Honor mobiles with EMUI, Xiaomi with MIUI, Samsung with One UI and OPPO and Realme with ColorOS include support for serial themes. Each of them allows you search and download themes with its official app. Mobiles that do not have official support can at least install a launcher that supports themes to modify the appearance of the mobile to some extent.
If your mobile has its own theme store, this is probably the best way to find and download new themes with the guarantee that they should work correctly and apply to all elements available, including some pre-installed apps such as Calculator, Phone, and Calendar. Here are the official options for the different layers:
-
Huawei and Honor phones with EMUI. “Themes” application, accessible from Settings > Home screen & wallpaper > Themes.
-
Xiaomi phones with MIUI. Themes can be changed with MIUI Themes or just Themes, which after a slight interruption are again available in European terminals.
-
samsung phones with One UI or Samsung Experience. Themes can be downloaded from Galaxy Themes, accessible from Settings > Wallpapers & Themes.
-
OPPO, OnePlus, Vivo and Realme phones with ColorOS, OxygenOS, OriginOS or Realme UI. In this case, themes can be downloaded from the home theme app.
Third-party apps
If the official app does not convince you, you will always have alternatives created by third parties
