Siri came to Apple devices in 2011, during a briefing on the iPhone 4s when Apple made its iPhone assistant a reality and subsequently accessed almost all of its relevant products. However Siri's mind actually has more time, about three decades ago Apple was just figuring out the idea of your assistant inside the touchscreen.
Navigator information: the idea that the iPad predicted for Siri in 1987
All this part a video released by Apple in 1987
The video is absolutely amazing, we can see that the assistant (here with an anatomical image and wearing a tuxedo suit) always helps to expla in to the user their meetings, searching for articles on the Internet, showing pictures and making phone calls. All of the following for the user. All of it has to be said, it seems to be smarter than Siri.
Best of all? If you watch the video there is a time when you ask me to show you an article "written five years ago" and when this story comes out we see that it was written in 2006. That means the video considered the 2011 situation. The office decoration and the overall look of the vanity are nothing like what we were in 2011. But one thing happened in 2011 was… the arrival of Siri. Siri was launched in 2011. It may or may not.
To put things in context, let's also see a video of Siri's introduction:
Knowledge Navigator was just an idea when Apple engineers think about the future. The fact that you did not perform as they predicted did not mean it failed. Ideas are to breathe and to express ideas, then they are made or impossible in very different ways. Siri arrived three decades later with the iPad, perhaps not as predicted in that first impression, but in its context.
