Apple’s first service rumor of 2022. The Economist compiled some data on this division of the company and added that Cupertino prepare your own audiobook service for this year. It would be something separate from the audiobooks section that we can currently find in the bookstore.
An “Apple Audible” that would add even more subscription fees to your offer
There are companies that base all their business on such a service, like Amazon’s Audible. And use the simple formula of offer a subscription to be able to have unlimited access to these audiobooks. Apple has enough potential and catalog to do the same, motivating users to “read” books while walking, playing sports, or doing housework.
The source, reflected in other Anglo-Saxon media, only mentions this service. But precisely, there are already estimates according to which the service section is growing at a very high rate, and an additional subscription for audiobooks can be another lever so that this rate does not stop. Another fee that can even be added to the Apple One or Apple Premium plan.
Audible costs 9.99 dollars per month in Europe, so I would expect very similar fees for an audiobook service in Spanish. No announcements or estimated launch date, and there is usually no defined model for Apple services. They depend more on agreements with companies than on logistics, development and / or production.
